Anhalt Brass Ensemble's Visit

The recent concert of the Anhalt Brass Ensemble (June 13, 2005) at Trinity UCC in Collegeville was part of a series of events commemorating ten years of partnership between the Evangelical Regional Church of Anhalt (Evangelische landeskirche Anhalts)* and the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ

Earlier events in the celebration included:

  • a visit of five pastors (including our pastor, Rev. Martha B. Kriebel) as guests of the Evangelische landeskirche Anhalts from February 21 through March 3, 2005.
  • A tour by the Gospel Choir from the UCC's Christian Network Outreach Church (Norristown, PA) to the Dessau region from May 19 - 30, 2005. The choristers, guests of the parishes, gave six concerts to standing room only crowds in the parish churches. They also sang during the mid-day worship service in the Berlin Cathedral and at a Sunday festival worship service in St. George's Church, Dessau, Germany.

The Anhalt Brass, guests of various congregations in the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference of the UCC, were in the United States from June 7 to 18, 2005 (The first seven of these days were spent in the Collegeville-Philadelphia area). They gave concerts in various churches and visited many historical sites.
