A NOTE FROM GLADYS ESSER

"For 22 years I have been going to Wyncote Church Home on the third Thursday of the month. In the early years I did a program of music, readings and refreshments. In later years I changed to Bingo with prizes and treats. Many went with me including: Jan Berry, Hubie Bishop, Nelda Clement, Kitty Forrest, Kathy Kratz, Joan Robinson, Carolyn Rosewarne and Audrey Schmidt. If I missed anyone, I apologize. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, our last visit was in July. Thanks to all my helpers."

MISSION NEWS

Summer has been a busy time for our "mission" volunteers - Joy Miksic was in Haiti for her teacher training service, Judy Fryer managed the TGU program, and ALL of us can be involved in the upcoming Yard Sale for Haiti.

The next Mission Committee meeting is on September 13, at 7:00 PM, in the small lounge.

SENIOR LUNCH RESUMES

After a summer break, the first Senior Lunch will be held on Wednesday, September 1st at 12 Noon in the Hendricks Room. All seniors are invited for fun, food and fellowship.

Please remember to call the Church Office at 610-489-4223 by Monday morning of each week's lunch, so we can give an accurate number to Ursinus College Dining Service.

CALLING ALL SINGERS AND RINGERS!

The first practice of the Chancel Choir will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 7:45 PM in the choir room! Please note the time change. All are welcome whether you can sing for one Sunday or every Sunday! Please come out and give it a try; we would love to see you there!

The first practice of the Bell Choir will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 6:30 PM. Please note that this is a time and day change. If you are curious as to what playing bells is all about or want to join the group, pleasse come out - we are looking for new members this year!

QUIET DAYS AT MENSCH MILL

The second Tuesday of each month is a time for personal meditation and spiritual renewal at Camp Mensch Mill. Join the group that meets at the church parking lot at 8:30 AM. Participants are asked to bring along a Bible, a notebook, and a bag lunch.

SERVICE AND PROJECT GROUP

Start the Fall with a trip to the Service and Project Group. All are welcome and no experience is necessary. Knitters, sewers and "chatters" come one, come all, to the yellow rooms across from the Church Office, the third Wednesday of each month from 10:00 am to 12 Noon.

Placemats are for sale at $2 each or $3 each for the round ones. Christmas themes in progress by our master "Mat Maker", Bob Rosewarne.

Future projects include collecting socks for Soup Kitchen bags; hats, scarves and mittens for "Trees of Warmth"; items to fill Christmas bags for Collegeville Pre-school students.

LOOKING AHEAD TO NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER

• ASP Spaghetti Supper - October 3, 5:15 PM in Hendricks Room. Our chefs will be ready to serve you and our teams are waiting to have you relive their experiences.
• CROP Walk and 5k RUN on October 10th, beginning at our church with 12:30 PM registration. The goal is to increase the number of participants, with local schools being , and all Scout units sponsored by C-T. Ministerium churches asked to participate. The Walk/Run starts at 1:00 PM, from Trinity Church. 25% of donations stay in the community and are directed to Grace Bean's Soup kitchen. (St. Eleanor runners/walkers will direct their portion to St. Vincent DePaul Society.) All who donate $15.00 or more will receive a T-shirt.
• Our Annual Mission Fair to be held on Saturday November 13th from 10AM to 3PM and Sunday November 14th from 12Noon to 3PM. There will be new items and a pre-Mission Fair booth on the church lawn. Watch for it to appear and for publicity that you can help distribute as well as invitations to volunteer.

WOMEN'S GUILD

It's time for the "little white envelope" - (enclosed with your copy of The Bell). This once-a-year offering helps to fund the Guild's many programs and ministries, some of which are listed below.

• November 6, 10-12 Noon: Fall mini-retreat, Freeland Lounge. Join us as we participate through Bible study, prayer, and being together.
• November 14:Thankoffering Sunday
• December 5, 5:15 PM: Advent-Christmas Supper and Program.
• February 6, 12 Noon:Annual Mission Luncheon and meeting.
• March 4, 1:00 PM: World Day of Prayer.
• May 1, 5:15 PM: Annual Family Banquet, Hendricks Room.
• May 6, 1:00 PM: May Friendship Day.

All ages of Trinity's women are invited to be a part of the Women's Guild.
