YOUTH
A REVIEW AND PREVIEW OF YOUTH EVENTS
REVIEW
- ASP: 20 went on our behalf to serve as this year's ASP
teams in Tennessee.where they helped make homes "Warmer, Safer, and
Dryer."
- Regional Youth Event: Beth and Kim Stott, our
mother/daughter representatives at the Regional Youth
Event in July have returned with much to share in
a future church service.
- Church Camp at Mensch Mill: Who attended this year?

- Community Garden: Nick McCoy's Eagle project that gave
us the Community Garden
- Confirmation Class: Orientation will be on Sept. 19,
9:30 AM, for parents and class, on the Ground floor
Yellow Room (across from the small lounge).
PREVIEW
- Labyrinth: Ben Kershner's Eagle Project will give
everyone the long-hoped-for labyrinth. Work will
begin later this month and volunteers will be
appreciated.
- Youth Exchange with our partner church in Germany: A
"first" that will hopefully be the beginning of
a youth exchange visit between our partner
congregation's District Church in Anhalt, Germany, and
PA SE Conference over Reformation Sunday
weekend, Oct. 30-31, six youth - three from Trinity:
Megan Czachor, Cheyenne Hurst, and Ian Metzger,
and three from Ascension Church, Jeffersonville
will be guests in Germany. The weekend will be
preceded by a week of touring hosted by
Rev. Elisabeth Preckel and families of her
parish.
MORE ABOUT CONFIRMATION CLASS
Anyone entering Eighth Grade or older is invited to participate in
Confirmation Class. Orientation will be held on Sept. 19,
9:30 AM, for parents and class, in the ground floor Yellow Room across
from the small lounge. It will be a time to be
introduced to the "new curriculum" and accept on-going service that fits
their schedule
We will again be looking for volunteers to be Mentors to the
confirmands. If you are interested in volunteering, please
let the Pastor know by emailKriebel1@verizon.net or call the Church
Office.
Commitment to Confirmation will take place during the 10:45 AM church
service on Sept. 26. Parents and class will gather around the font to
make the promises involved in Confirmation
